In which I act like I have any business giving advice.

I've posted this in lieu of a bio on my Facebook profile. Others will surely come later, so I'm going to post them here so that I don't lose them.

Miers's Law #1: If a writer can think of it--and provided that it is compliant with the laws of physics--at least one person, somewhere, at some point in history, has done it.

Corollary A: But that does not mean very many people have done it, or tried it more than once.

I know it sounds superfluous on its face, but I promise you it has some relevance.
